Apple violates labor law. There is an accusation

Apple was accused by the American authorities of violating labor law. This is about introducing work rules in the office that are not consistent with local law.

The National Labor Council announced this week the accusation it brought against the tech giant. According to her Apple, in its offices in the United States, forced employees to sign illegal confidentiality and non-compete clauses. Additionally, the company introduced too broad regulations related to inappropriate behavior and social media policy.

The complaint says that Apple’s actions limited employees’ ability to exercise their rights under the local labor code.

We do not agree with these accusations and intend to fight them by showing the facts at committee meetings.

– assures the official announcement from Apple.

If Apple does not resolve the issue before the National Labor Council, the case could go to court in January next year.

This is not the first case involving Apple breaking the labor code. Already in 2021, Ashley Gjovik, a former engineer at the company, accused the employer of improper practices related to confidentiality clauses and bans on speaking out on social media.
