Apple TV doesn’t make us wait, and that’s great. 5 seasons in 4 years

Anyone who has seen it knows exactly what I’m talking about. It’s a really successful series that, in fact, few people in Poland know. And although the title might suggest something else, contrary to appearances, it is not a slow crime story. On the contrary, it’s a fast, engaging series, and not only in terms of action – it’s also quite successful when it comes to dialogues. And Garry Oldman in this “lame” version is second to none. And although the plot, although absorbing, does not blow you away, the series is an incredible pleasure to watch. And most importantly, subsequent seasons appear really quickly, comparing what is happening with the competition.

The media say that the greatest achievement of the series “Lame Horses” is the best role in the career of Gary Oldman, who played the role of Jack Lowden in the series. And yes, there is no denying it. But it must also be emphasized that the series is pleasant to watch due to the intrigue and side plots. Each character is expressive and perfectly constructed.

With the sixth season of Slow Horses wrapping up and production starting on the seventh, it’s clear that showrunner Will Smith has no intention of slowing down. At least, not anytime soon. Apple TV does not intend to waste time waiting. Perhaps because there is still no such a large library of series as, for example, Netflix.

The 1st season of “Lame Horses” saw the light of day on April 1, 2022, in December of the same year, we already got season 2. The third appeared in the fall of 2023, the fourth in 2024, and the fifth in September 2025. Currently, the filming of the sixth part has been completed and the pre-production of the seventh has begun.
