Initially, the matter concerned the model CoreBook Xbut soon joined him too CoreBookPlus and UBOX. It turned out that instead of the Ryzen 5 7430U system, we get Ryzen 5 5500U. And although their number of cores match, the architecture, clock speeds and cache do not. This clearly affects the performance, because it is about 10% worse.

A simple mistake? NO. Because it didn’t only apply to advertising materials. CHUWI also changed the processor IDso that in diagnostic programs and even the BIOS, the older processor reports that it is 3 years younger and declared a different specification. Moreover, the manufacturer sent notices to the sites reporting the incident to remove the article.

Fortunately, AMD heard about the matter and issued an official announcement. It was sent to the Chinese editorial office of HKEPC, and a translated version is below. AMD was not involved in the labeling or marketing decisions of these products and had no knowledge of the matter.
