Amazfit beats Garmin again. Full functionality at half the price

Just before the premiere of the Huawei WATCH GT Runner 2 running watch, Amazfit showed its latest model with a similar purpose – Active 3 Premium.

Active 3 Premium weighs with the strap less than 55 g. Built into a stainless steel frame 1.32-inch AMOLED screen. Maximum display brightness reaches 3000 nits. Sapphire glass protects the screen against impacts and scratches. The whole thing is waterproof to 5 ATM.

The new Amazfit has a built-in one GNSS module (5 systems) with offline maps, BioTracker biometric sensor and a set of other sensors useful in all conditions. The smartwatch can work on a single charge up to 12 days and up to 76 hours with GPS turned on.

People starting their adventure with running receive support in Active 3 Premium already at the training planning stage. They can benefit from Zepp Coach – AI trainerwhich, taking into account, among others, training level, creates and updates a personalized preparation plan on an ongoing basis. Active 3 Premium also offers ready-made training courseswhich can be adapted to your own capabilities. However, more advanced runners can create their own plans from scratch using special training templates.

An important support is the enabling function lactate threshold determination and automatic heart rate estimation (LTHR) i pace (LTP) at this level. Active 3 Premium not only determines the lactate threshold along with the maximum VO2 max, but also suggests in real time when to increase the pace and when to stabilize it, in order to consciously implement the plan and gradually improve performance and endurance.

Runners have several running modes at their disposal, including to training on a treadmill and a mechanical treadmill. All modes provide dozens of training parameters. They also allow you to personalize data views – depending on the level of advancement and type of training, you can track up to six parameters at the same time.

Active 3 Premium records and compares running performance in real time with previous training units. Progress, including running technique, can be analyzed by comparing post-training data such as cadence, ground contact time or range of body movement while running.

Other sports modes also offer similar opportunities, including strength training mode. In total, the watch supports over 170 sports.

The latest Amazfit smartwatch also provides recovery datasuch as the time needed for full regeneration, sleep quality, heart rate variability (HRV), which indirectly indicates the level of fatigue of the nervous system, as well as training load and fatigue in the short, medium and long term.

Active 3 Premium also offers a feature monitoring the wear of sports shoes. Thanks to this, the runner can monitor the wear and tear of the shoes and replace them with new ones at the optimal moment.
