Update your texting app. No more annoying problem
Google News is the default application installed on Android phones. Most of us probably use it to receive and send SMS and MMS. Google has just introduced two useful changes to it.
The first change is mentions. It has been tested for several months in the beta version of the app, but is finally making its way to the stable release. It allows you to tag specific people in RCS group chats in a message. To do this, just use the “@” symbol and add the username after it.
What does it do? First of all, such a person will receive a notification about the message even if the chat is muted. This way they won’t be able to say they didn’t see the message. Importantly, you can tag several people in one message at the same time.
The second change concerns deleting conversations. So far, they have been completely deleted and cannot be restored. This was problematic because it was enough to accidentally swipe sideways in the chat list. Fortunately, this is over.
Now this chat will go to the trash. He will be held there for 30 days. After this time it will be automatically deleted. However, during this month, we will be able to restore it at any time. Additionally, if you perform a swipe gesture and accidentally delete a conversation, you will immediately be able to quickly undo the action.
Although the new features have already been introduced, they are not yet available to all users.
