WhatsApp without creating an account. A big change is coming
Currently, to use WhatsApp, it is necessary to create an account linked to our phone number. However, the messenger is working on a change that will allow you to use the application without this requirement.
WhatsApp without an account
We are talking about guest chats that can be used without creating a WhatsApp account. The feature has been tested on Android for several months, and now iPhone owners will also have access to it. Importantly, it is only available in the beta version of the application, so not every user will benefit from it.
How does it work? The principle is extremely simple. A WhatsApp user can create a guest chat and then generate an invitation link. Just share it with another person (e.g. via SMS or another application). After clicking the link, a conversation will be started via a secure network session.
When users continue to use the site as a guest, WhatsApp Web generates a unique ID that is used to create an encryption key. This means guest chats are secured with end-to-end encryption. WhatsApp does not have access to the content of messages, and only participants in the conversation can read them.
However, using WhatsApp quality guest comes with limitations. Such users cannot use group chats and cannot send so-called voices, attachments, GIFs, stickers, as well as make video and audio calls.
