Poczta Polska: new attack by cyber fraudsters

This time, the scammers are impersonating official correspondence regarding the setup e-Delivery boxes. The attack was prepared in a particularly dangerous way – the content of the messages sent uses a real message sent to Poczta Polska customers after activating the e-Delivery box.

e-Delivery and message. What does fraud look like?

And although the message itself actually comes from Poczta Polska, not everything is correct. Users are being harassed by emails coming from false addresseswhich is full of strange characters and typos.

It is also worth paying attention to email titles, which can sound quite threatening and unkind: “Last warning. Removal will begin” or “Cloud subscription has expired – restore access now”.

In the email, fraudsters include information about the supposedly full cloud storage, suggest the loss of photos, documents and data, and then encourage you to click the “Increase space” or “Upgrade now” link. After clicking, we are redirected to a fake website that asks us to provide payment card details or pay via PayPal.

There is also a campaign variant that informs the user that as a “loyalty program member” they can receive unlimited cloud space for a one-time fee of PLN 7. But the goal of fraudsters is the same – they want to take over payment card details, nothing more.

Poczta Polska reminds:

We would like to remind you that Poczta Polska does not send any messages regarding full disk space, cloud data storage services, backups or paid packages increasing data space. The safety of our customers is our priority. If the message comes from an address other than (email protected), it is a fraud attempt.
