Plus rewards Olympic medalists. The money will go to three athletes

We awarded these awards because we believe in the power of sport, in the value of effort and in the importance of moments that unite Poles who support “our team”. This is our gesture of gratitude and respect for Polish athletes. We decided to honor the medalists for their impressive achievements, years of hard work and determination, and above all – for the emotions that united fans across the country. Each of them went down in history, showing how powerful Polish sport is.

Plus decided to fund it 100 thousand each PLN for the silver medal and 75 thousand each PLN for bronze. The company made this decision independently, regardless of its previous cooperation with the Polish Olympic Committee (POC). Polkomtel, the operator of the Plus network, was one of the sponsors of this organization. The funds will bypass the activists and go to them straight into the players’ hands.

We know the names of the awarded players. He will receive the largest amount Kacper Tomasiak. The ski jumper won in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo three medalstwo silver and one bronze. Therefore, it will be credited to his account PLN 275 thousand. On the other hand Paweł Wasek will answer 100 thousand zlotys for silver in the duet competition.

The third awarded athlete will be Vladimir Semirunni. He won the title of vice-champion in speed skating over a distance of 10,000 meters. The operator will transfer it to him 100 thousand zlotys.

Plus has been sponsoring Polish sport for 30 years. The network’s representatives explain this move with the desire to appreciate the players’ efforts. It is also a form of thanks for the emotions provided to us, the fans.
