Apple may shock you with its price. It’s about a foldable iPhone
According to the latest reports, the foldable iPhone is expected to enter production and debut together with the iPhone 18 Pro at the end of this year. However, the biggest question mark is the price of the device. Apple is preparing a clearly “conservative” price for it for a premiere device of this class.
Price of the foldable iPhone
According to the latest rumors, the Cupertino company is to abandon the most expensive solutions in order to bring the price down as close as possible to the foldable models from the Galaxy Z series.
Early leaks put the price at around $2,400. That’s about $400 more than the launch model of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which costs $2,000. At the same time, it is significantly less than users have to pay, for example, for Apple Vision Pro ($3,499).
However, newer reports suggest that Apple may drop the price even lower. The amount is about $2,000. If Tim Cook and company can fit into this range, the foldable iPhone may turn out to be one of the hits of the year.
Apple is said to use a very advanced hinge and panel that reduces the visibility of the crease, but does not eliminate it completely. In turn, Samsung is preparing Fold 8 models in which the display will be virtually curve-free.
The lower valuation is also intended to make it easier for Apple to enter the foldable segment before the next generations. At the same time, the company will also design a model in the form of a “flip”.
