Motorola challenges Samsung. It has its own fold with a huge battery

The razr flip phone series has already established itself in the foldable phone market, so now Motorola is entering the territory of Samsung, Honor and Oppo with a new model razr fold in book format. The smartphone was previously announced at CES, but now it has had a full premiere and availability in stores.

Motorola’s new foldable impresses with two displays with great parameters. The outer panel is the matrix pOLED with a diagonal of 6.6 inches and 21:9 aspect ratio, with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and a peak brightness of 6000 nits. The screen is protected by durable Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.

After unfolding the device, the user has access to a flexible display LTPO with a diagonal of 8.09 inches, 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Its maximum brightness reaches up to 6,200 nits. Both panels support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision standards and are Pantone Validated.

The entire structure is assembled after unfolding just 4.55 millimeters thickand its weight is 243 grams. The device also boasts a level protection certificate IP49which means light resistance to dust and full resistance to water penetration. The sound is provided by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, tuned by Bose experts.

There is a system working under the hood of the Motorola razr fold Snapdragon 8 Gen 5which works with 16 GB of RAM in the LPDDR5X standard and 512 GB of data space. Appropriate heat dissipation is ensured by a liquid cooling system.

The smartphone also promises to be a solid tool for mobile photographers. Main camera 50 Mpix is based on the Sony LYTIA 828 matrix with f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization, allowing for video recording in 8K quality and Dolby Vision standard. She accompanies him 50 Mpix ultra-wide-angle camera with a 122-degree field of view with macro and periscope modes telephoto lens combined with a 50 Mpix matrix (Sony LYTIA 600). The latter provides 3x optical zoom and digital Super Zoom Pro up to 100x supported by artificial intelligence.

The set is complemented by two selfie cameras: 32 Mpix on the external screen and 20 Mpix inside the device. The hinge design allows the phone to be stable at an angle, which turns it into a handy tripod and makes it easier to create materials.

The whole thing is powered by a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of up to 6000 mAhwhich is a very good result in the world of foldable smartphones. We will charge the battery with power 80 W wired50 W wirelessly, and the equipment also offers reverse charging with a power of 5 W.

Motorola razr fold works under system control Android 16and the manufacturer declares up to 7 years of system support and patches safety. In addition, the latest generation of Moto AI with access to Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity AI assistants is on board.

In Polish stores, the Motorola razr fold in the 16/512 GB configuration is priced at: PLN 9,999. The smartphone will be available in two color variants developed in cooperation with PANTONE: navy blue Blackened Blue inspired by pique diamond fabric and white Lily White with a silk-like structure.

Additionally, pre-sales are scheduled to start on April 13, 2026 special edition of FIFA World Cup 26 in a slightly different memory configuration of 12/512 GB, the price of which will be PLN 11,499. The edition for football enthusiasts is finished with a textured material decorated with the official tournament logo, made of stainless steel and plated with 24-carat gold. The set will also include an exclusive addition in the form of a ticket to one of the championship matches.

As announced by the manufacturer, Polish sales sets will include a dedicated one as standard moto pen ultra stylus, with which the internal screen is fully compatible.
