New cash withdrawal limits. You’ll be guessing at the ATM

Planet Cash is another ATM network, after Euronet, that changes withdrawal limits. In the case of ordinary ones, it will be better, because the previous amount of PLN 1,000 PLN is increased up to PLN 4,000. zloty. Problems start to arise when we want to withdraw money using BLIK. Then we’ll have to guess.

ITCARD announced that it is reducing the limits on cash withdrawals using BLIK in its Planet Cash ATMs. So far, it amounted to PLN 800. The new one is… guessing. The operator did not provide a new limit because it may vary depending on the ATM. In one we will pay out more, in the other less.

What is this supposed to depend on? On economic conditions for individual devices. We can guess what this statement means. The limits will probably be higher in ATMs that are profitable (e.g. in large cities). In turn, in smaller towns, where the device may generate losses, we will pay out less money using BLIK. How much exactly? This is not known.

Recently, the Euronet network decided to take a similar step and lowered the limits on cash withdrawals via BLIK to only PLN 200. The company explains that the commission is too low and this type of transactions generate losses. Visa and Mastercard have recently increased their rates, but Polish Payment Standard still has the amounts set several years ago.
