The new Bixby comes to Poles’ phones. It still has one thing missing

Bixby now works as voice agent the entire device. According to the Korean manufacturer, users of Galaxy series devices no longer need to know the menu layout or the exact names of functions. Just describe the problem in your own words. The assistant independently analyzes the user’s intention. It then performs the appropriate action in the operating system.

Such a solution reduces the time needed to change settings. The software identifies the current state of the phone. It does not give general instructions, but instead implements ready-made solutions. An example is a request not to turn off the screen while looking at the display. Bixby enables this option right away.

Another example involves accidentally touching the screen in your pocket. Just ask the assistant why the phone behaves this way. Bixby will interpret the situation. It will then display the accidental touch protection option. The user can activate it with one click.

The update also expands the options searching the Internet. Bixby supports web queries in real time. Search results appear in the main assistant interface. The user is not redirected to an external browser.

This speeds up access to data. The phone owner can, for example, ask to find hotels with swimming pools for children in a selected city. The system will process this query. It will display stay offers on its own screen. This allows you to view the results without closing the assistant.

The updated Bixby software is now available in beta. It is integrated with the overlay OneUI 8.5. Samsung has started testing the new version of the assistant in selected markets.

It is on the list of countries with early access to new products Poland. The other countries taking part in the tests are: Germany, India, South Korea, Great Britain and United States. The manufacturer declared that this list would be expanded to include additional regions at a later date. Unfortunately, Bixby still does not understand Polish.

Bixby requires a Samsung account login and network connection to be available. Available features and capabilities may vary by country, region and language. Bixby only recognizes specific accents and dialects of English (UK), English (US), English (India), French (France), German (Germany), Italian (Italy), Japanese (Japan), Korean (South Korea), Mandarin Chinese (China), Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish (Latin America). Additional supported languages ​​may be added in the future. Not all accents, dialects and expressions are recognized and actual service performance may vary depending on pronunciation, speaking volume and environmental conditions.

One UI 8.5 in its final version will debut with the smartphones from the series Samsung Galaxy S26. Event Galaxy Unpacked 2026 will start now February 25 in San Francisco, at 7:00 p.m. Polish time.
