Microsoft is preparing more news for Windows 11. In the latest build available to testers Several functions have appeared that may have a real impact on the everyday use of the system. Among them was built-in internet speed test available from the taskbar.

After right-clicking on the network icon in the system tray, a test option appears in the context menu, which starts the measurement in the default browser. The user can verify the internet speed both in the case of a wired connection, Wi-Fi or cellular transmission.
Microsoft tested this solution last year, but only now it is reaching a wider group of users in the program Windows Insider. In practice, this means more convenient an alternative to popular external websites such as Speedtest.
However, this is not the end of the changes. It will appear in your system settings new camera configuration menu. Users will be able to control parameters such as image rotation and tilt. Microsoft does not yet reveal the list of supported models, but the function may prove useful especially in office environments and during videoconferencing.
The update also introduces new emojis, refreshed widget settings in the form of a full-screen panel and ability to set files in .webp format as desktop wallpaper. This is a small but practical change that fits into the growing popularity of this format on the Internet.
The new features are currently available in the Release Preview channel for Windows 11 in versions 24H2 (26100) and 25H2 (26200). If the tests are successful, it can be expected that the features will be included in the stable release of the system soon.
