PLN 5,000 for Qrevo? Expensive fun, but without complaining (test)
The market for cleaning robots is definitely not boring. In recent months, manufacturers seem to be racing to reinvent the wheel just to stay ahead of the competition with their innovations. Do we as consumers benefit from this? So far, things are different. This makes it even more of a pleasant surprise Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Prowhich, although targeting the premium segment, focuses on proven solutions.
The only problem is that it is not cheap equipment. Its suggested price is PLN 5,099, although until March 12, 2026, on the occasion of the premiere, you can get it a bit cheaper, because for PLN 4,599. Can Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro justify this amount? Let’s check!
Appearance and workmanship
Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro looks very classic. There are practically no unnecessary decorations here, the two control buttons (power/start cleaning and return to base) are small, and the white LED is very discreetly integrated. Add to this a white casing without any colored or gold-plated inserts and we get a truly… boring device. However, in the case of this type of equipment, the emphasis on utilitarianism is an advantage. The test hero looks attractive, but is not distracting.
Probably the most interesting element is LiDAR module dome that retracts into the housing. Thanks to this, the device can boast of its height less than 8 cm. It is also worth emphasizing here that the top cover does not have a hinge, so to gain access to the dust container, it must be completely dismantled.
There are no fireworks from underneath. Here you will find a traditional three-wheel system, two classic mopping pads, an asymmetrical side brush and a main brush. The latter is a bit unusual because it consists of two elements with a break in the middle. The manufacturer calls this solution “DuoDivide” and is intended to prevent hair from tangling. During the tests, the vacuum cleaner actually coped with this quite effectively.
The robot base station is quite compact, especially considering the class and functionality of the set. Her majesty is less than 50 cm. However, a certain disadvantage may be the fact that the water tanks are not covered with any cover, so it cannot be used as a makeshift table if necessary. However, it must be admitted that the station looks good and all key elements are clearly marked.
Among the elements worth attention, it is worth mentioning containers for dirty and clean water, each with a capacity approx. 3.2 years From the front, you will have access to the dust bag and detergent tank.
The workmanship of the robot and the docking station is of a high standard. The elements fit well and the whole thing gives a solid impression. For my part, I would only like to replace the glossy finish with a matte one, but this is more a matter of preference than a real disadvantage.
Operation and application
Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is operated almost entirely from the application level Roborock. This one is available in App Store and Play Store.
Unfortunately, this is where we come to what is probably the biggest drawback of this model. Although the functionality of the app is not questionable – it is very similar to what other manufacturers offer – yes the Polish translation of the interface is poor. We are clearly dealing with machine translation here, and it is of low quality. This can be forgiven for cheaper products from smaller manufacturers, but not for equipment from a well-known brand positioned as premium.
Luckily the entire interface is quite well thought out, so a few unfortunate phrases shouldn’t be an insurmountable obstacle. It is worth adding that from the application level we gain access to several cool functions that are not always obvious even in this class of equipment. What I mean here is, among others: integration with Matter or access to a voice assistant.
In terms of ongoing service, using Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is pure pleasure. All the most important elements are easily accessible, there are practical solutions, such as a removable pad grater, and there are clear markings at every step. What’s more, a lot of work is done by the workstation itself, which, among other things, it automatically picks up dust and can wash the pads with water at 100 °C. In practice, most of the time our role will be limited only to replacing water in tanks.
Navigation and avoiding obstacles
Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro has a technology-based navigation system LiDAR and built-in camera. It can also recognize obstacles on its own thanks to technology Reactive AI.
And I must say that here the test hero probably made the best impression on me. The robot moves around the rooms very efficiently and consistently follows the adopted route. There were no strange incidents during testing, but it also didn’t excessively avoid obstacles at the expense of accuracy. During the tests, the device achieved a very good compromise in this respect.
Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro easily identified obstacles and furniture placed in front of it. He also had no problem recognizing the carpet on his own and this is during a standard cleaning cycle, not a separate mapping. In terms of “embracing reality”, it is one of the better models I have had the opportunity to test recently.
In addition, the robot is equipped with many solutions that allow it to avoid obstacles more easily. Here you will find, among others: AdaptiLift lifting chassis allowing you to cross high thresholds up to 3 cm, the previously mentioned LiDAR sensor allowing drive under furniture with a clearance of 8 cm, and also an option automatic pad disassembly before entering the carpets.
Cleaning
The test hero boasts maximum suction power of the order 25,000 pa and a wet cleaning function using rotating mopping pads. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before. In practice, however, this set works very well.
The vacuum cleaner is perfect for cleaning loose dirt, and in automatic mode it efficiently changes the suction power depending on the situation. Owners of carpets or rugs should be particularly pleased with it due to the combination of high power and solutions designed specifically for this scenario. I have absolutely no objections here.
Wet cleaning is generally also good. The robot efficiently removes current dirt, and thanks to the retractable brush, it can easily reach the walls or edges of furniture. I would rate the effectiveness as at least as good as in the case of “more modern” models with a roll or tape. However, I cannot shake the impression that the pressure of the pads themselves should be slightly greater – currently the test hero has problems with removing some of the dried stains.
Cleaning time is good. 31 m to clean2 the robot needed floors 45 minutes with standard settings.
Summary
Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro does not try to be innovative and kudos to it for that. It is a robot that sticks to proven, refined solutions, thanks to which it can boast high effectiveness and predictability. In my opinion, especially the latter is a great advantage compared to more innovative competitors. Add to this an excellent navigation system and it turns out to be a really nice device, especially since the disadvantages here are rather details in the overall scheme of things.
Only this price… No matter how good the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is, it is it’s hard to find something here that would justify the amount over PLN 5,000, when the competition has had similar models on the market for a year, and sometimes at very good promotions. This puts the test hero in a slightly problematic position. Yes, you will be happy with it, but I would refrain from buying it until it becomes cheaper.
