The star of “Rogue of the Dragon” has quite a task – this time she has to play the main role of Supergirl, who not only struggles with the demons of her past, but also has an obvious alcohol problem. Is this what the superwoman of our times looks like? Kara Zor-El is, no matter how you look at it, the cousin of Superman, who seems to be flawless. Why did the creators, wanting to stand out, decide to make the woman so imperfect? For many viewers, this approach to the topic may seem a bit shocking.

Let us remind you that the film, directed by Craig Gillespi, is an adaptation of the comic book by Tom King, titled “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”.

In the film, our eyes will be on Milly Alcock, who will play the role of Kara Zor-El, Superman’s Kryptonian cousin. This character already appeared for a while in the movie “Superman” in a memorable scene with the dog Krypto. It was then that her identity was revealed and it turned out that she was the real owner of the dog, and what distinguished her was her passion for partying off-planet.

In the new trailer, Kara meets Krypto for the first time, and we also see several frames of her life on Krypton before its demolition.

The creators say straight – “it’s really an anti-hero story.” Supergirl has a lot of experience, and she is also chased by demons of the past, like the famous Harry Hole. This is what distinguishes her most from all of Superman.
