“Anesthesia” is another series, after “Children of Lead” (premiere on February 11, 2026), that will take us into the world of the most pressing social and emotional fears, stories that will make the viewer even shed a tear. The premiere of the latest production is scheduled for the second half of 2026. Netflix has made the first photos available to viewers to whet the appetites of all fans of series about doctors.

This is Netflix’s first medical drama in which Leszek Lichota will play the role of an outstanding neurosurgeon. Apart from him, we will also see on the screen: Masza Wągrocka, Dorota Kolak, Aleksandra Popławska, Krzysztof Stelmaszczyk and Karolina Gruszka. To make the series consistent with the contemporary realities of medical practice, Neal Bear, a doctor and producer known from “ER”, cooperated with the production. His task was to supervise the compliance of the script and individual scenes with clinical practice.

“Anesthesia” is a production with huge potential. It is a drama that wants to introduce the viewer to something that always moves them greatly – the world of hospital turmoil. Doctor Łazarz (played by Leszek Lichota) is an outstanding neurosurgeon whose career suddenly comes to an end due to a wrong decision. A bold, albeit unsuccessful operation that ends in the patient’s death, results in him leaving the hospital and taking up work in the provinces. There, the hero gets to know the close-knit local community and the rules prevailing there. However, Lazarus would not be himself if he did not break some of them – of course, always in the name of the patient. His decisions will begin to arouse both admiration and controversy. However, his self-confidence and lack of humility make him an exceptional doctor in people’s eyes. However, as you can guess, they also quickly expose you to conflict with the system.
