Santander with a new service. It will use Poles’ favorite application
Santander made it possible to open accounts online using another application liked by Poles. New customers will have a much easier and more convenient experience.
A new method of identity verification when creating an online account
Santander has now given its customers the opportunity to remotely confirm their identity, which is necessary to open an account online. Until now, this was only possible via courier or a selfie and a photo of your ID card. Now comes the new one. Santander customers will be able to use the mObywatel application to verify their identity.
From now on, when applying for an account online, on our website or in the mobile application (before logging in), you can also confirm your identity using the mObywatel application.
– we read in a statement from Santander bank.
Santander’s announcement clearly states that you will be able to confirm your data with mObywatel by opening an account. The service will be available both through the banking application and the website. In the case of the application, simply select “Go to mObywatel” and follow the next instructions. After confirming the data, you must consent to transferring them to the bank.
If you use the transaction service on the website, the process will be similar, but we will use a QR code that we will scan when completing the application using mObywatel.
Identity verification using the mObywatel application is available fast and convenient. Thanks to a few steps, you can easily confirm your identity, without having to attach photos of your ID or make an appointment with the courier.
For those who do not use the mObywatel application, the bank has left two existing methods: selfie or identity verification by courier.
Data verification using mObywatel is also available in banks: VeloBank, Nest Bank, Pekao and ING.
