Gmail with a brilliant new feature. It’s just a pity that you have to pay
This is a big change for Gmail users. Thanks to Gemini, e-mails will write themselves and make sense.
Google had Smart Reply back in 2017
Smart Reply was a foretaste of the coming revolution. Back in 2017, this feature, using machine learning, suggested three quick replies to emails, based on their content. However, responses like “Sounds good!” or “Yes, I’m working on it” were far from Google’s target vision.
7 years later, Google announces a new Gemini-powered Gmail feature – contextual smart replies that will offer more detailed responses to fully capture user intent.
We’re excited to announce a new Gemini feature in Gmail – contextual Smart Replies that will offer more detailed replies to fully capture the intent of your message.
– Google wrote in a statement
How it works and who it will be available to
Once you start replying to an email, users will see several reply options at the bottom of the screen that include the full content of the email thread. After hovering over each answer, the user can quickly read its content, select the one that best suits the situation, and then edit it or send it immediately.
The new feature will not work without the “Smart features and personalization” option active. Its gradual implementation started on September 26, and the maximum time for the service to appear is 15 days. However, to obtain new suggestions based on artificial intelligence, it is necessary to purchase one of the add-ons:
– Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium,
– Google One AI Premium.
After implementation, Google’s new solution will be available both in the web mail application and in the mobile application, both for Android and iPhone.
