Żabka is preparing a new product. This is about payments at checkout

A few months ago, Żabka launched the Żappo pilot program. These were deferred payments, under which customers could make purchases for PLN 50 without paying immediately. The amount was then charged after 14 days from the card connected to the application.

Although the chain claims that customers are interested in this offer, it does not plan to scale it further. Therefore, the project will not be continued. However, work is already underway on a new version of the Żabka Pay service. The store is to enter into cooperation with, among others, Visa and PKO BP – informs cashless.pl.

Żabka Pay in a new version

Żabka Pay is a service that was once already available to store customers. All you had to do was connect your payment card in the mobile application and then pay in the store with the code displayed on your phone. However, in 2024 the service was disabled. Żabka decided to rebuild some application modules.

This has apparently already been done, because the network will soon present a new version of Żabka Pay. Unofficially, it is known that the company has entered into cooperation with large entities on the financial market, including PKO BP and Visa.

We are working on a completely new version of the Żappka Pay service. The offer will take full advantage of, among others: Żabka’s multidimensional ecosystem, which will allow us to even better meet the needs and expectations of customers. We will inform you about the details of the service closer to the implementation date.

reported the Żabka press office.

It is known that customers will be offered, among other things, a credit card. However, the service’s capabilities will not end there. We should know the details in the coming weeks.
