Microsoft is preparing new changes in Windows 11. This time they will affect File Explorer.
Microsoft I'm once again tinkering with one of the key functions Windows. This time it was on the agenda File Explorer, That is de facto the most important element of the system that users use every day. What awaits us?

Fortunately, nothing particularly drastic. It seems that Redmond developers are only preparing for a light one rearranging the way items are displayed on the Explorer home screen. Categories with the newest and favorite files will appear on separate tabs. This will happen new category for shared files.
File Explorer's Home page will be getting some updates soon! The way sections appear is being updated (complete with fancy visuals if there is nothing in them) and a new “Shared” section is being added. (disabled by default, Beta 22635.3640.) pic.twitter.com/kamy1T4sSN

We do not know yet when the changes described will reach a wide range of users or whether they will be available in this form at all. For now, they are only available in the latest test versions of Windows 11 and require manual activation. However, the planned modifications clearly suggest that the current form of “windows” is by no means the final incarnation of the system and we should be prepared for further changes.
