We will see Intel Core i9-14900KS processors in a week
Are you building a new computer set? Do you care about top performance? It’s worth the wait. A new flagship from Blue will appear soon.
Family 14th generation Intel Core debuted on the market in October last year. Traditionally, we started with the most expensive and efficient K series units, and later cheaper, blocked models appeared. Blue has another CPU planned, i.e. a flagship one Intel Core i9-14900KS.
The release date is set for March 14, 2024
It will be a 24-core and 32-thread clocked unit up to 6.2 GHz with a TDP of 150 W. We are talking about a configuration combining 8 large, high-performance cores with 16 small, energy-saving ones. The whole thing is complemented by 32 MB of L2 cache and 36 MB of L3 memory. The processor is supposed to use the socket LGA 1700.
The latest information indicates that release date is March 14, 2024. The processors have already been distributed to selected overclockers. Suggested price remains unknown, but equivalents from previous generations – Intel Core i9-12900KS and Core i9-13900KS – cost $739 and it should be similar here.
Intel Core i9-14900KS will probably be the last processor for the LGA 1700 platform. Blue wants to introduce a series this year Intel Arrow Lake-S and motherboards LGA 1851. It may turn out to be a possible light at the end of the tunnel Intel Bartlett Lake-Sabout which not much is known yet.
