Good news for people looking to buy a Mac with M4
Mac computers with M4 have just appeared on the market, including the new MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini. However, these are not all types of computers in Apple’s portfolio. But the company has managed to get its users used to the fact that not all their devices receive a new version with the arrival of a new processor. For example, the last Mac Pro from 2023 had an M2 Ultra processor at a time when M3s were already on the market.
Apple’s regular cycle of refreshing its computer lineup is also hampered by the iMac Pro and Mac Mini, which have historically received refreshed versions every few years. The rest of the equipment could rather expect a newer version regularly, every next processor iteration (M1, M2, M3, M4, etc.).
Now, however, this is about to change, because according to the latest reports, MacBook Air should also be released in spring 2025, and in mid-2025 also Mac Studio and Mac Pro with M4. In this way, the entire portfolio of Apple computers would receive a refresh to the latest version of the processor (M4). This hasn’t been the case for practically a decade.
What is interesting is whether Apple will maintain this release cycle with the M4 successor.
