Visa has launched a new service dedicated to travelers and the unlucky. Visa customers who lose their cards can receive virtual replacement card via SMS or email – reported the Fintek portal.
After reporting a lost card, the operator may propose sending a virtual card. The customer can authenticate it in a simple way and add it to their digital wallet. To use the service, all you need to do is contact Visa customer service.
How do I get a virtual Visa replacement card?

- The Visa representative will deactivate the lost card and contact the bank on the customer’s behalf.
- You will receive access data that will allow you to activate your virtual replacement card in a message.
The waiting time for receiving card data given on the Visa website is 24-72 hours. This is a bit long for a lightning-fast service, but in a crisis situation: it’s better than nothing.
