The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection received signals indicating that there may have been price collusion, which limited competition in the sale of electronic equipment. It was intended to apply to many popular products, including computers, laptops, TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, stoves, vacuum cleaners and hair dryers.

The case may have a very wide scope, covering devices of many brands. We analyze extensive evidence collected during the searches.

In connection with the case, with the consent of the court and with the assistance of the police, searches were carried out at the three largest wholesale distributors of household appliances, electronics and IT equipment in Poland. We are talking about AB, Action and GT Group Tomaszek. In addition, a search was also carried out at the Beko company headquarters.

For now, the proceedings are being conducted on a case-by-case basis, not against specific companies. If the reports are confirmed, charges will be brought against specific entities. In such a case, they will face a 10% penalty. turnover. Additionally, managers responsible for concluding the collusion may be punished. They may be fined up to PLN 2 million.
