TP-Link will burn out your old computer. You will dial 1800 Mb/s
TP-Link has introduced two new products that may be of interest to owners of older PCs or laptops – Wi-Fi 6 network cards. TP-Link Archer TX20E is intended for stationary machines, and Archer TX20U will also work in laptops.
TP-Link introduces two new network cards to the market that allow you to achieve transmission speeds Wi-Fi up to 1800 Mbps in standard Wi-Fi 6 in the 2.4 and 5 GH bandsz. The devices allow you to easily upgrade older computer equipment to support a fast and efficient Wi-Fi 6 network.
TP-Link Archer TX20E is a network card with a connector PCI Express intended for desktop computers, while Archer TX20U is USB modelwhich we can use also in laptops.
Both devices offer combined bandwidth up to 1800 Mb/s in two transmission bands: up to 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1201 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band.
Compliance with the Wi-Fi 6 standard allows for a smooth experience multiplayer online games, VoIP calls, videoconferencing and video streaming. Smooth network operation is also ensured by support for MU-MIMO technology.
Technology Beamforming in turn, it supports the range and stability of Wi-Fi connections by directing the wireless signal beam towards the router or access point. Another solution – OFDMA technology makes it possible transporting many parcels to several devices at the same time, unlike Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) which only transports one package at a time. This significantly improves both download and upload performance. The WPA3 encryption protocol ensures the highest level of transmission security.
You can also arm your computer with Bluetooth 5.2
TP-Link Archer TX20E also performs Bluetooth 5.2 card function, allowing you to connect e.g. a keyboard, headphones, gamepad or other Bluetooth accessories to your computer. In addition to the standard support, Archer TX20E also has a low-profile support, which is dedicated to computers with a mini tower housing. Two external antennas provide enhanced signal reception.
The compact TP-Link Archer TX20U is structurally reminiscent of once popular USB modems. Its housing has a matte finish and cooling holes guarantee high work culture even under heavy load. The card is equipped with a connector as standard USB 3.0.
Configuring the Archer TX20U and Archer TX20E network cards is very simple. Just connect the card to your computer and the operating system will automatically install the drivers. Unfortunately, the official specification shows that the devices are compatible only with Windows 10/11 systemsso they may not work on the oldest computers that need more expansion.
New TP-Link network cards are now available for sale at prices of approximately PLN 120 for Archer TX20E and approx. PLN 140 for Archer TX20U. The devices have a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
