Thorgal and the Lord of the Ice Garden. New games are being created for PC, PS and Xbox
Every comic book fan knows the Thorgal series, and the Lord of the Ice Garden saga is known to fans of SF literature. Both titles will soon appear as games on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Developers from the Polish studio Mighty Koi announced two projects set in known worlds. In the first one, players will be able to experience adventures as… Thorgal, an icon of European comics. In the second one, they will play the role of Vuko, the hero of the best-selling saga by Jarosław Grzędowicz “Lord of the Ice Garden”. New games will debut on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
RPG with Thorgal in the main role
Action RPG Thorgal is set in the mythical world of the Vikings, known from the cult comic book series by Jean Van Hammeillustrated by Grzegorz Rosiński. Now players will experience the digital adventures of the legendary warrior that they have been looking forward to for years.
The hero, a mysterious child from the stars, must protect his loved ones not only from humans and monsters, but also from intrigues of vengeful godsin. As announced by the game’s creators, fans of adventures Thorgal Aegirsson they will get to know many adventures and characters from the comic book pages, and new players will delve into the fascinating fantasy world, constantly expanded since 1977.
Mighty Koi Studio has already released the first trailer announcing the new adventure.
Vuko as Nightwalker
The Night Wanderer (pl. Nocny Wędrowiec) will be adapted to the screens the prose of Jarosław Grzędowicz. The bestselling saga “The Lord of the Ice Garden” combines elements of sci-fi and fantasy. The main character – Vuko – is part of it space expeditionwhich aims to unravel the mystery of the disappearance of the predecessors on Midgaard – a planet at the stage of development of the early medieval Earth.
To be able to freely explore this world, the hero must adapt to new conditions, almost completely getting rid of modern technologies. His support is special bio-chip (digital), giving him superhuman abilities. After landing, it turns out that mysterious, even magical things are happening on Midgaard, which may be related to the missing expedition.
Developers from Mighty Koi announce a gameplay based on a dynamic and innovative combat system, combining Soulslike battles with elements of adventure games and RPGs.
Mighty Koi has not yet announced the release dates of new titles.
