If everything goes according to NVIDIA's plan, the first GeForce RTX 50 Blackwell graphics cards should be available in stores this year. Previously, it was said that 2, or maybe even 3 models could premiere in 2024. However, the latest rumors suggest that only one design will debut this year.
This year only GeForce RTX 5090
The source of information is again Moore's Law is Dead, which often reveals interesting rumors from the hardware industry. They are not always confirmed, but it must be admitted that the effectiveness is quite high. Despite this, take the following news with a pinch of salt, because nothing has been officially confirmed.
According to the YouTuber, information about the possible premiere of 2 or even 3 GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards this year is exaggerated. According to his information, only the most powerful design, i.e. GeForce RTX 5090, will appear on store shelves. We will have to wait until 2025 for the rest.
The GeForce RTX 5090 is expected to bring about a 50 percent increase in performance in standard rasterization compared to the RTX 4090. At the same time, there is talk of up to a 3-fold improvement in Ray Tracing and DLSS, which would be a huge step forward and would allow you to enjoy playing in 4K Ultra HD with a smoothness that has not been available before. The card's price is expected to range from $1,299 to $1,499, so it will be – not surprisingly – an option for the most affluent people.
The new card is to be presented at Computex 2024, but it will only be a paper premiere. It should be available in stores at the beginning of the fourth quarter, i.e. in October.
