Rollable OLED with variable screen proportions
Lenovo and TCL CSOT have prepared a new conceptual model of a horizontally rollable laptop with an OLED screen. His unique feature it is possible to transform after pressing a button – from a 16:10 screen to ultra-wide angle 21:9 or even 24:9.
By default, the screen operates in aspect ratio 16:10displaying the resolution 2048×1280 pixels. However, after changing the format – it shows 2986×1280 pixels at 21:9, a 3413×1280 at 24:9. This system uses two motorsand the screen unfolds from both sides simultaneously in a smooth manner, with minimal vibration and noise.
This model has been tentatively named PureSight OLED Gaming and it is supposed to allow adaptation to various modes of use – from movies, through office work, to games.
It is not known whether these monitors will be commercially available soon, but the example presented at CES 2026 it was fully functional, and a laptop with a processor was connected to it Intel Core Ultra and graphics card GeForce RTX 5090.
This year, Lenovo is releasing a different type of rollable laptop – a vertical rollable one called the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable.
