This is what the future looks like? Lenovo showed an unusual laptop
At the ongoing MWC 2024 trade fair in Barcelona, Lenovo presented a very unusual laptop. This one is equipped with a transparent screen.
One of the largest technology fairs in the annual calendar is taking place in Barcelona. For many years, Mobile World Congress (MWC) was identified primarily with mobile devices, but RTV, household appliances and computers have also dominated there for a long time. One of the new products is a Lenovo laptop with a transparent screen.
Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent
The laptop presented by Lenovo is nothing more than a demonstration of possibilities. The company currently has no plans to put the device on sale. This does not mean that it is not interesting equipment. The prototype presented in Barcelona is very impressive.
The full name of the computer is Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop Concept. It is equipped with a 17.3-inch microLED display that is transparent. The Chinese company assures that it offers good color reproduction, high contrast and a brightness of up to 1000 nits, thanks to which it can also be used outdoors. Unfortunately, we don’t know of any independent measurements, so we’ll have to take their word for it.
However, the device has its drawbacks. First of all, the screen displays an image with a resolution of only 720p. In turn, NotebooCheck journalists believe that a slight red tint can be noticed on it. However, as I have already mentioned, this is not a finished product intended for sale. This is only a demonstration of the possibilities and it is possible that in a few years, when the technology is properly improved, similar devices will be available in stores.
