Is this the future of top graphics cards? The latest MSI model proves that traditional cooling systems may soon be a thing of the past.
From the fair Computex 2024, the world's largest hardware event, is just a few days away. It's in the first week of June in Taiwan producers, journalists and YouTubers from all over the world will gather to present technological novelties to the world.
It should be quiet, cool and very efficient
And although the event is just starting June 4, we are now receiving the first information from Taipei. This time it's all thanks to the German editorial team of Allround-PC, which noticed the novelty MSI on “Best Choice Awards”.
MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Fuzion is a huge graphics card with a hybrid cooling system. This 4.5-slot giant has a radiator instead of a classic one water block and integrated pump and two fans. However, the power supply and VRAM sections have traditional, copper heatsinks.
This solution apparently offers 15% higher performance than a classic graphics card of the same sizeand most importantly, compared to regular AiO (All in One) systems, it provides greater compatibility with commercially available housings and does not require adding coolant over time.
Of course, the exact specifications, release date and suggested price remain unknown. These will probably be revealed only during Computex 2024. From the available information, only the metal backplate is known, 12V-2×6 power connector and the I/O panel offering two HDMI and two DisplayPort.
