This is the biggest breakthrough since the stylus. Samsung is back in business
We get excited about the wrong things
The marketing used by phone manufacturers is often a kind of smokescreen. I will wave a feather there, throw a ball there, and you, ignorant people, look at the trinkets and do not notice the shortcomings at the base.. And I won’t pretend that Samsung hasn’t used various procedures of this type itself, but you have to give it credit for the fact that even if it wasn’t the first with something, it never fell behind in terms of the quality of its devices.
The entire Galaxy S26 family
This time, however, there is no tricking the eyes with digital zoom, only larger amounts of light that enter the matrices, based on facts. Or stabilization with maintaining the horizon line, which has never been available in phones before. There is no forced AI, only one that gives you freedom of choice (Gemini and Perplexity), and when we are not involved in photo editing, it will also help with scanning documents and automatically creating elegant PDFs.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is more Note than Note ever was
A flat, large screen that can be traversed with both fingers and retractable stylus. For this unique anti-reflective coatingthanks to which, where others see the reflection of their face, you see what is displayed on the screen.
The display is brilliant
And a combination of advanced energy saving systems, a large steam chamber with an extended system of pathsguaranteeing no overheating and finally, released after many years higher standard of charging speed. 60 W in the Power Delivery 2.0 and 3.0 standard is a moment of peace when everyday life is falling apart. Just 30 minutes is enough for our soldier to be ready for the whole day of combat with 75% battery charge.
And finally it’s something. The only screen in the world that will respect your privacy
I have absolutely no doubt that Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will become the new king in corporations. Instead of those disgusting anonymizing films it is finally possible to ensure that protected data is protected without losing the pleasure of using the phone.
Darkness, that’s what people standing nearby will see
The screen of the new Samsung is a grid of alternating narrow-angle and wide-angle pixels. The former can only be read when looking straight ahead, the latter can also be seen by people standing next to us. And this is where the magic begins. We can freely turn wide-angle pixels on and off – permanently, only for selected applications and only for notifications. The latter is especially impressive when a notification cloud appears on the screen, a the person standing next to us sees only a black spot.
For extreme applications, there is also a mode in which the screen becomes slightly foggy, but the screen readability angle narrows even more.
This is the only such screen on the marketand the fact that its manufacturer is none other than Samsung makes us believe that Privacy Display will remain an exclusive feature only for Samsung devices for a long time.
The S-Pen stylus remains and is doing well
I came back from the launch of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and I’m calculating…
Yes, Samsung lent Galaxy S26 Ultra test units to journalists during the premiere in San Francisco, but they will have to be returned in a few weeks. In fact, I will say goodbye to my copy even sooner, because after returning from the Mobile World Congress fair, it will end up for editorial tests with my friend Marian. Well, I must admit that, like never before, I haven’t returned it yet and I already miss the S26 Ultra. However, what Samsung is Samsung is the higher culture of phone service.
I look nervously at the price list of the new S-s, and it’s not good…
Higher prices are a direct result of shortages of memory modules. Although Samsung produces them itself, it makes it clear – the wave of price increases will soon reach everyone on the market. It’s a pity that there were no such categorical declarations regarding batteries.
Only during the third round of intimate meetings with directors of various Samsung departments managed to find an answer to the question why the company is not moving towards silicon-carbon batteries and large capacities of 7000 mAh. There was a declaration that Samsung is looking for a balance between battery capacity, optimization of energy consumption and the energy demand of new AI functions implemented directly on the device. However, don’t count on any dramatic changes, rather, these will be leaps of the order of 200 mAh in the coming years.
Not that you’d miss this battery every day, and faster charging adds to the carefreeness. I still have 3 days of testing the S26 Ultra in Barcelona, and then I’ll probably swipe my credit card. Don’t go to stores and test Privacy Display if you don’t have money for this phone. This is an absurd “must have” that has never existed in phones before.
