On the ResetEra forum, information was leaked about the sale of all PlayStation Studios games, i.e. exclusive productions for Sony consoles. The Japanese may have reasons to be happy. Private labels are PlayStation's driving force.
PlayStation Studios games for sale
The leak shows that as many as 10 productions recorded revenues above $100 million. The biggest hit was the first Spider-Man movie with as many as 315 million. Second place goes to God of War: Ragnarok with $279 million. It may be surprising that the second part of Spider Man's adventures is not on the list, but the data probably comes from before the game's release.
The full list of PlayStation Studios games that recorded over $100 million in revenue is as follows (number of digital downloads in brackets):
- Marvel's Spider-Man – $315 million (8.3 million)
- God of War: Ragnarok – $279 million (4.2 million)
- The Last of Us Part II – $242 million (6.3 million)
- Spider-Man: Miles Morales – $231 million (5.1 million)
- God of War (PS4) – $229 million (8.1 million)
- Ghost of Tsushima – $215 million (3.6 million)
- Horizon: Zero Dawn – $160 million (6.2 million)
- Horizon: Forbidden West – $150 million (2.3 million)
- Gran Turismo 7 – $141 million (2.1 million)
- The Last of Us PS4 – $108 million (6.6 million)
