This has never happened before. They created gloves for gamers, and that makes sense
GamerTech presented a very unusual gadget at PAX East 2024. We're talking about gloves, actually a sleeve for players. Contrary to appearances, it makes a lot of sense.
Today, more and more equipment is labeled “for gamers”. These are not only keyboards, mice, monitors and headphones, but also drives, power supplies and RAM. Now we can add gloves to this group. Contrary to appearances, it is not as stupid as it may seem at first glance.
Gaming gloves
GamerTech gloves were created by GamerTech. They are called Magma Glove and their primary task is to warm the hand and wrist during the game. That's why they are equipped with a reflective layer and thin layers of graphene heaters. The accessory warms your hands and wrist in timed cycles and offers three heat settings.
Is it as stupid as it seems? Not at all. If you have ever played mutiplayer games, e.g. Valorant, Counter-Strike 2 or League of Legends, you probably know that your hands can get very cold during intense gameplay. This is also visible at e-sports tournaments, where professional players have access to special heaters. Such a sleeve could eliminate the problem more effectively.
However, heating is not the only possibility of the GamerTech Magma Glove. Additional glove features include exposed fingertips for precise mouse wheel clicking and scrolling, a glide patch for smooth hand movement, glove compression for muscle support, and moisture wicking to keep your hands dry.
The price of the sleeve is not known yet, but you can sign up for pre-orders on the manufacturer's website.
