This affordable smartphone offers a solid technical sheet, but beware of concessions

Honor unveils the Honor 90 Lite. For 300 euros, this smartphone wants to address a wide audience that it wishes to conquer on a relatively complete technical sheet.

Let’s take a quick look at what looks interesting and what we’re a little more worried about on paper.
Most
First, the main sensor seems rather well equipped for this price range, since it is a 100 megapixel with f/1.9 aperture. It is accompanied by a 5 megapixel ultra wide-angle and a 2 megapixel macro. We do not expect much from these last two, but they are a bit of a must for this type of phone. The front sensor has 16 megapixels.

In other good news, the phone comes with 8 GB of RAM (which can be extended with 5 GB of virtual RAM) and 256 GB of storage. What to see coming. The chip proposed here is a Dimensity 6020 which should be tested in due form.
The lessers
First stop on the side of concerns, the Honor 90 Lite screen is a 6.7-inch 90 Hz panel, so far no worries. Except that it draws on LCD (IPS) technology and not Oled. Faced with smartphones like the Redmi Note 12 4G and Redmi Note 12 5G, equipped with a 120 Hz Oled screen, it may sting a little.
Another point that could worry us a little: the 4500 mAh battery is compatible with Honor’s Supercharge technology, up to 35 W, but the charger is not included in the box.
Last point to watch out for: if the phone does come with Android 13 (Magic OS 7.1), it won’t go any further than Android 14. Fortunately, the security updates go up to three years on this smartphone .
