Speed ​​limits don't help, so those interested started taking matters into their own hands – reports the French television TF1. They build dummy speed cameras on their own. In addition, they use the applicable law so cleverly that the structure cannot be removed.

It started with a married couple from La Douze, who decorated their mailbox with a speed camera. A 12-year-old from Cours-de-Pile also performed a similar maneuver, but he chose an old garbage bin and a protective mask as a base, and these are just some of the many examples. Very amateur dummies, but, as their originators agree, they fulfill their role.

Interestingly, the lawyer speaking in the source estimates that creative designers do not break the law. In his opinion, as long as the structure is within the boundaries of the plot, there is no provision prohibiting the styling of everyday objects to look different. Even as clear as a speed camera.

So confused drivers reflexively brake and the residents are happy, but the same cannot be said about the drivers themselves. A man named Gérard, the author of the repainted mailbox, complains that an unknown vandal has already destroyed the installation. Nevertheless, this did not discourage him. Instead of removing the dummy, he placed it on a massive concrete pole.
