An 84-year-old resident of Białołęka left the house and suddenly stopped showing signs of life. Police officers found him in the swamps in Kępa Tarchomińska. All thanks to the watch the senior had with him. It was this equipment that saved him, giving a clear indication to searchers that he was in a swampy area.
His daughter informed the police about the man’s disappearance. She was worried that the man had not returned home and showed no signs of life. Even though he was equipped with a smartwatch that showed his location, it was not easy for the woman to find him. He also did not answer calls from his daughter.
The GPS in the watch helped
The notified police officers analyzed the situation. The GPS transmitter clearly indicated that the missing person was in a swampy and forested area. After searching the area, the man was found. He was lying on an embankment at the edge of the swamp and couldn’t move. Moreover, he was cold. Fortunately, nothing happened to the man. After tests, he returned home to his daughter’s care.
