These hi-fi headphones offer everything you expect from high-end wireless headphones

At the IFA in Berlin, hi-fi brand Denon presented two new pairs of high-end wireless headphones, the Denon PerL and Denon PerL Pro.

While the IFA 2023 show is taking place this week, the manufacturer Denon took advantage of the Berlin event to present two new pairs of high-end wireless headphones with rather attractive characteristics, the Denon PerL and Denon PerL Pro.

Concretely, these two pairs have a rather similar appearance with a large round tactile surface on the outside and an in-ear format. The PerL Pro, however, is distinguished by a shiny border on the outside of the surface, for a completely matte appearance on the standard PerL.

In terms of technical characteristics, both models feature 10 mm diameter transducers, but the “Pro” version is reinforced with three layers of titanium for low distortion. For Bluetooth audio codecs, both models are compatible with AAC, SBC and aptX, but the PerL Pro are also compatible with aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive. They also offer multipoint Bluetooth compatibility, allowing them to be connected at the same time to a smartphone and a laptop PC, a function absent on the standard model. The same goes for spatial audio, offered only on the “Pro“.

In addition, the two new pairs of headphones from Denon feature active noise reduction and transparent mode.

In terms of autonomy, Denon announces up to 8 hours of use on its PerL Pro (32 hours with the charging case, compatible with wireless charging) and 6 hours with the PerL (24 hours with the charging case). charging, without wireless charging). The headphones also come with four pairs of silicone tips, one pair of foam tips and two pairs of ear fins.

As a reminder, Denon is a brand of the Sound United group, just like Marantz, Polk or Bowers & Wilkins. This Japanese brand specializes in hi-fi and home cinema devices, with generally very attractive quality-price ratios.

The Denon PerL and Denon PerL Pro headphones are already available for sale. It will cost 199 euros for the Denon PerL and 349 euros for the Denon PerL Pro.
