The National Clearing House (KIR) has issued a statement that is worth reading. Elixir, the settlement system that handles interbank transfers in PLN, will have a break in operation in the coming days.

It’s about the upcoming long weekend. Transfers ordered on November 8, after 4 p.m., will be transferred to the recipients’ accounts only on the next business day, which is Tuesday, November 12.
Most transfers ordered by banks in Poland are made using the Elixir system. Clearing and settlement in the system is normally carried out in three clearing sessions. Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Of course, non-working days are excluded from this schedule.
So, in many cases, the money won’t arrive until Tuesday.
It is worth remembering that transfers ordered on Friday, November 8, after 4 p.m., will be transferred to the recipients’ accounts on the next business day – Tuesday, November 12.
