The first two episodes of the second season of the series are now available on the SkyShowtime platform Hello. Further episodes of the production inspired by the popular game will be added every week.
In the 2nd season of the series Hello Master Chief John-117 leads his elite team of Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. When an unexpected event occurs on a desolate planet, John is convinced that the war he has been fighting will soon change. He decides to risk everything to prove what no one else believes – that the Alliance is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. The galaxy is on the brink of destruction as John sets out on a journey to find the key to saving or ultimately destroying humanity.
Halo series, created by showrunner and executive producer David Wiener (Brave New World), takes place in the known universe from the first Halo game on Xbox in 2001. It is an epic story about the conflict between humans and the alien threat known as the Covenant, which is rich in moving stories of heroes, action, adventures and a grand vision of the future of the 26th century.
This season’s producers and main actors are: Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) as Master Chief, Spartan-117 and Natascha McElhone (Californication) as Dr. Halsey. They’re coming back too Jen Taylor (Halo game series, RWBY) as Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher/The Witcher), Olive Grey (Half Moon Investigations), Yerin Ha (Reef Break), Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron), KateKennedy (Catastrophe), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) i Danny Sapani (Penny Dreadful).
We will also see the cast of the new season of Halo Joseph Morgan (Vampire Diaries, The Originals) i Cristina Rodlo (No One Gets Out of Here Alive, The Homeless World Cup). Morgan played the role of James Ackerson, an influential intelligence agent who devoted his career to rising to successive positions in the secret UNSC Office of Naval Intelligence. Rodlo played Talia Perez, a newly recruited corporal specializing in linguistics in the UNSC Marine Corps communications unit who had yet to see real combat. We will also see Laera again on screen (Fiona O’Shaughnessy) – Soren’s confidante and wife, who accompanies him in battle. Soren and Laera’s son, Kessler, also appears (Tylan Bailey), who had a relatively quiet, if atypical, childhood growing up on Rubble.
The Halo series was produced by SHOWTIME studios in cooperation with 343 Industries and Amblin Television. David Wiener together with Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey are producers of season 2 of the series from Amblin Television. They are also responsible for executive production Kiki Wolfkill from Xbox/343 Industries, Otto Bathurst and TobyLeslie from One Big Picture and Gian Paolo Varani.
