The third film in James Cameron’s Avatar series – Fire and Ash, will premiere on December 19, 2025. The news was announced during this year’s D23 Expo by James Cameron, Zoe Saldana, and Sam Worthington. Disney also revealed that the film will focus on Pandora, which is engulfed in flames, as indicated by the title of the production. In addition to the title card, Disney also showed a graphic of the film’s Ash People, who inhabit volcanoes. James Cameron also suggested that he probably won’t direct any more installments in the series, but assured that Fire and Ash it will be exactly what viewers expect.
