The star of “Good House” in a new role. Will HBO blow viewers away?

HBO Max has just published a trailer for the Polish production, with the actress who won the hearts of viewers in “Good House” in the main role. And although she plays a completely different person here, we will again witness scenes full of violence against women. The whole story, although difficult at times, seems really interesting. At least that’s the impression the viewer gets after watching the teaser. This time, we will play the role of the main character’s husband, not Tomasz Schuchardt, but Mateusz Damięcki. Apart from them, other famous names will also appear, such as: Katarzyna Herman, Borys Szyc, Hubert Miłkowski, Jacek Koman, Jacek Poniedziałek and Ireneusz Czop.

“Women’s Hell” takes us to pre-war Warsaw, specifically to the 1930s. The capital of Poland is presented as the pulsating heart of the country, full of contrasts and inequalities. Above all, it is a world in which women must fight not only for their rights, but also for their dignity. Helena Wróblewska (Agata Turkot) is the editor of the matrimonial magazine Fortuna Amandi. When she learns about the death of a show dancer as a result of a botched abortion, her peaceful life begins to shake. He receives a mysterious letter that begins a series of dramatic events.

“Women’s Hell” is a series created by HBO. It was directed by Anna Maliszewska (you may recognize her from the production of “Dad”), and the script was written by: Magdalena Franczuk and Ewa Popiołek. The producer is Ewa Puszczyńska, known from the Oscar-winning “Ida” and “Strefa biznes”.

The premiere of the series “Women’s Hell” is scheduled for March 6, 2026 on HBO Max.
