The race for the fastest charging is on. For record holders, fifteen minutes is enough

Competition in the market for fast chargers for electric cars is gaining momentum. FLO recently launched the FLO Ultra charger, which fully charges batteries in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, for now such standards only exist in America.

FLO, a manufacturer of fast charging stations for electric cars operating in North America, has introduced a super-fast charger FLO Ultra with a power of 320 kW. The new FLO charger allows you to charge your vehicle's batteries from 0 to 80% in 15 minutes. The device meets strict federal government standards and guarantees 98% effective charging.

FLO focuses on practicality and improves not only the power of chargers, but also its functionality. FLO Ultra has two charging ports high power placed in one station. The charging station is equipped with innovative features EZLift cables – placed on a boom for easy connection and convenient charging.

FLO Ultra is not the most powerful charger

FLO Ultra is a charger with power 320 kW and is not the most powerful charger in the USA. It has stations with higher power Tesla – 350 kW, charges batteries much slower – from 0 to 40% in 10 minutes. In turn, the company's super-fast chargers Gravity with a power of 500 kW are available in a very limited area – only in Manhattan.

Competition for electric car chargers in America

According to researchers from PEW Research Center, the proximity of a charger in the area of residence is crucial when Americans buy an electric car. The latest report shows that 64% of respondents have the nearest charger within 3 kilometers. FLO's mission is to provide drivers with access to high-quality chargers wherever they need them, so that they can feel confident driving their electric car.

It was put into operation on May 23, 2024 in Auburn Hills, Michigan the first FLO Ultra 320 kW charger. FLO currently has 100,000 fast electric vehicle charging stations located in various locations across the US and Canada. However, the development of the network can be expected, as he informs FLO, managed to obtain financing in the amount of USD 136 million for the further development of the company and the charger network in both the USA and Canada.
