Notification to the prosecutor’s office in the case of Poczta Polska

The new president of Poczta Polska – Sebastian Mikosz – announced that the prosecutor’s office had been notified regarding the negligence of the company’s previous management board. This is, among other things, the lack of investment in parcel machines, which are loved by Poles and would help the post office compete better in an already difficult market.

We conducted an internal audit at Poczta Polska. On this basis, the current management board sent its own notification to the prosecutor’s office, because these were the conclusions of this audit and the clear recommendation of the people who carried it out.

The conclusions from the internal audit are to be consistent with what was previously presented by the Supreme Audit Office. The Supreme Audit Office checked investments in the years 2020-2023 and found irregularities amounting to PLN 113 million. This includes delays and not imposing contractual penalties on suppliers. The post office also struggled with digital transformation.

As a result of the audit, several people were disciplined and dismissed from Poczta Polska.
