Poczta Polska reminds about the necessity of completing customs declarations when sending goods outside the European Union. This step is crucial for the correct processing of shipments and their timely delivery.

The Universal Postal Union and customs and tax regulations apply to all shipments of goods sent outside the European Union, both online orders and gifts. Sellers often do not inform about additional costs such as VAT or customs.

The sender of a shipment leaving the EU is obliged to completing the customs declaration. A Polish Post employee may refuse to accept a shipment without appropriate documents. Failure to provide a declaration may result in the shipment being stopped at the border, delays and additional costs.

Correctly filling out the customs declaration allows for more efficient handling of the shipment and avoiding delays. Its content and value should be precisely indicated. False declarations can extend the delivery time and cause problems with customs and tax services.

Customs declarations for shipments outside the EU

Broadcasters letter shipments with the content of goods addressed to countries outside the European Union must complete customs declarations CN 22 or CN 23. Broadcasters postal parcels they should use the form CP72. Each declaration must be signed and confirm the absence of dangerous items.
