The Polish countryside put the cities to shame. Lighting

Moszczenica is a small town. Less than 5,000 people live here. The local government authorities have just replaced 281 street lamps. The choice fell on I-Tron luminaires from AEC. This is equipment that stands out due to its construction. Plastics constitute less than 3 percent of their volume.

The manufacturer used aluminum reflectors instead of plastic lenses. The whole thing is protected by tempered glass. This design ensures enormous durability. LED diodes can work for over 400,000 hours. Aluminum eliminates the risk of yellowing of the optics. The equipment is 96 percent recyclable.

The new lighting does not shine senselessly into the sky. The ULOR parameter is zero percent. The light stream only hits the road and sidewalks. Residents gained better visibility without glare. This is crucial for pedestrian safety.

Each lamp has a Zhaga Smart Controller. The system is based on GSM communication provided by Orange. This allows for remote management of individual light points. Operators create lighting operating scenarios. When traffic decreases, the lamps dim.

The system itself informs about failures. There is no need to send control patrols. As a result, maintenance costs were halved. However, the most important thing is electricity bills. Electricity consumption was reduced by over 77%.

An identical decline was recorded in carbon dioxide emissions. Moszczenica won an award for this project at the Światło 2026 fair. The investment shows the potential of smart city solutions. They are not reserved only for metropolises. Small local governments can use them equally effectively.
