A new game in the Tomb Raider series was announced in April 2022. Then we learned that Crystal Dynamic studio would create it using Unreal Engine 5 (instead of the proprietary Foundation Engine). It's a pity that during these 24 months we learned practically nothing more about the production. Only now are interesting facts coming to light.

Information about the game has been obtained by V Scooper, which focuses primarily on the film and TV series market. However, it is worth recalling that the new installment of Tomb Raider will be published by Amazon, which plans to create an entire universe around Lara Croft, including films and TV series. Hence, V Scooper's information may be true.
According to his reports, the new Tomb Raider will be an open world game. Lara Croft is to move around the map using, among others, a motorcycle and a parachute. The game is set in India, where the ancient ruins of Ashoka are discovered after a natural disaster. The heroine begins the race to discover their secret. Her rivals are supposed to be members of a mysterious society called The Society of Raiders.
According to V Scooper, the game will debut in less than a year. It will probably be presented during the Summer Game Fest and will be available in stores in the first quarter of 2025.
