Intel Core i9-14900KS rozpali komputery do czerwoności

The Intel Core i9-14900KS will make computers red hot

Blue has not yet said the last word in the case of 14th generation Intel Core processors. A model with astronomical efficiency and equally high power consumption is coming.

Late last year Intel expanded its portfolio by releasing a series of processors Raptor Lake Refresh for motherboards with socket LGA 1700. Compared to the previous generation, we have mainly higher clock speeds, and it remains the flagship model Intel Core i9-14900K.

However, it seems that, as in the case of previous families, we will soon receive an even more efficient model. Of course I’m talking about Intel Core i9-14900KSwhich began to appear in the first tests.

Entry in the results database OCCT noticed by the HKEPC editorial office confirms that the Intel Core i9-14900KS will offer us 24 cores and 32 threads. We are talking about a combination of 8 large, high-performance P-type cores with 16 small, energy-saving E-type cores. The whole thing is clocked at 3.2 GHz base and up to 6.2 GHz in Turbo mode.

Theoretically, we are talking about a TDP of 150 W, which is not a big value. However, under full load and with power consumption limits abolished, even 409 W was recorded. This means two things. Firstly, you will need a high-end motherboard, secondly, you will need an efficient liquid cooling system.

Unfortunately, this was already known earlier, even the “ordinary” Intel Core i9-14900K is a CPU that is very difficult to cool and requires the top AiO 360 mm. For now, the release date and suggested price of the Intel Core i9-14900KS remain unknown. However, it certainly won’t be cheap, it’s equipment for enthusiasts.
