The highly anticipated sci-fi series has a premiere date. “Best plot twists ever”

Apple TV has lifted the veil of secrecy and published on its official website several details about the second season of the popular neo-noir detective series – “Sugar”. This means one thing – the platform is fast approaching a new version of a black comedy that skillfully combines the classic style of a crime story with surprising sci-fi elements. There is no denying that the series became famous for infuriating some viewers due to its high level of absurdity and strange procedures. But it also left a wide group of those who wanted more and considered the production a series “with the best plot twists in the history of modern television.”

The series follows the adventures of private detective John Sugar, played by Colin Farrell, who is liked by most Poles. We don’t want to reveal much about the plot, but we know that season two will focus on a completely new case that will put the hero to a serious moral test. John Sugar will have to look for his older brother, who promises to be a very good boxer. As the action unfolds, his investigation turns into a city-wide conspiracy.

It is worth emphasizing that the actor not only plays the main role, but also serves as an executive producer. Therefore, it will not be an exaggeration to say that the “Sugar” series is largely his work.

The cast of the second season will include such names as Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, Sasha Calle, Jin Ha and Raymond Lee.

The streaming platform confirmed the premiere date of the series, which is scheduled for June 19. Season two will consist of eight episodes, the first of which will appear on Apple TV on the day of its premiere, and subsequent episodes will appear weekly, every Friday, until early August.
