Rząd pracuje nad nowym zakazem. Dotyczy wielu Polaków

The government is working on a new ban. It concerns many Poles

The Ministry of Health is working on a ban that may affect many Poles, including young people. This concerns the ban on the sale of disposable e-cigarettes.

The new government has targeted disposable e-cigarettes. Recently, the Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyna, admitted that they are very popular, among others, among minors. Some studies even indicate that more than 6 out of 10 people between 15 and 1.8 years old use them. No wonder the Ministry of Health wants to ban them.

Will the government ban disposable e-cigarettes?

Work on the ban is already underway at the Ministry of Health and the project is to be submitted for public consultation in the coming weeks. Deputy Minister of Health Wojciech Konieczny notes that the main problem is what the ban will cover. These may be disposable e-cigarettes, but also heaters for substances that do not contain tobacco.

In the opinion of the deputy head of the Ministry of Health, it is also possible to introduce a ban on the use of such devices in specific places and situations. This includes vehicles used by small children or pregnant women. Advertising of such products may also be prohibited.

Poland is not the first country to work on similar regulations. Great Britain, Germany and France have similar plans, and the ban is already in force in New Zealand.

Researchers from London and Innsbruck recently published research in Cancer Research, which shows that e-cigarettes may not be as safe as previously thought. Scientists have noticed that their users experience the same epigenetic changes as smokers of traditional cigarettes. For now, it is not possible to say that they definitely cause cancer. Further research will be necessary.
