This book not only turned out to be a bestseller, but also won many world awards. The series was based on the report “Whatever you say, don’t say anything. Crime and memory in Northern Ireland”. The author, Patrick Radden Keefe, is an American investigative journalist, which already says a lot about the plot. The FX production is a suspenseful story of murder and the memory of armed conflicts in Northern Ireland. The plot spans four decades, and the whole story begins with the shocking disappearance of Jean McConville, a single mother of nine children. The woman was abducted from her home in 1972 and since then she has been missing. The stories of various members of the IRA (Irish Republican Army) not only add color, but also show the different faces of extremism.
The best-selling book was adapted by Joshua Zetumer, who already wrote “Patriots Day”. The film was produced by FX. We will see Lola Petticrew, Hazel Doupe and Anthony Boyle in the main roles.
